Experience & Trust
As an integrative-relational therapist, I use several theoretical approaches belonging to the Humanistic and Psychodynamic perspectives, as well as Cognitive Behavioural techniques to help you identify your problems and find new ways to move on. I believe that sometimes the pain we experience in our present lives originates from our past, keeping us from moving on. Through a collaborative and positive relationship, we can engage in a process of linking difficulties in the present with past events or important relationships in our lives. Gaining insights into aspects of the previously unknown self, in a supportive and caring environment can enable personal growth and the healing process to take place.
I am a French national who has been established in the UK for many years and I work both in English and French.
Experience and qualifications
I am a registered and more importantly accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, i.e. MBACP (Accred), and I regularly attend workshops for continued professional development, including working with complex bereavement and suicide.
I have experience of working with NHS clients with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, abuse, trauma, sexuality and relationship problems.
In addition to my private practice, I worked as a bereavement counsellor where I was also a group facilitator working with people bereaved by suicide.
